DFC Water Baptism Form
***The next baptism opportunity is Sunday, December 7th, after the 11:00am gathering.***
Family, we are very excited about Water Baptisms. We take them seriously and recognize them as something important for the believer.
WHY SHOULD WE BE BAPTIZED? To follow the example of Jesus Christ. (Mark 1:9) Christ commanded every believer to be baptized in water. (Matthew 28:19-20) Water baptism identifies us with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. (Romans 6:4)
BAPTISM – OUR NEW LIFE IN JESUS CHRIST. “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4) Baptism does not save us. Only faith in Jesus Christ can do that. Baptism does not make us a believer; it only indicates that you already believe. Baptism is like a wedding ring, an outward symbol of a heart commitment.
